Chapter: 1691
“What's wrong?" Ariana's voice came, concern evident in her tone as she approached Jennifer.
Jennifer kept her eyes locked on the opulent cruise ship trailing behind them, leaning closer to Ariana. "Can you see if that's Adrian on that ship?"
“What?” Ariana was taken aback. But after considering it for a moment, she recalled Adrian was known for his spontaneous antics. So she joined Jennifer in scanning the deck of the trailing vessel.
After a moment of intense scrutiny, Ariana blinked and shook her head.
"I Looked hard, but there's nobody there. Maybe you're mistaken?"
"Maybe," Jennifer said with a heavy sigh, rubbing her weary eyes in frustration. "I need to stop staying up so late; I'm starting to see things."
Meanwhile, over on the luxury cruise ship, Holden was sporting a pair of sunglasses while he had a tight grip on Adrian's arms. He was holding Adrian back from causing a ruckus on the deck.
Adrian, restrained, could only say, “Dude, let me go. I just saw my wife. It's been ages. I don't think it's possible, but she's looking even prettier than before."
Holden rolled his eyes, releasing Adrian with a scoff. "Fine, go ahead. But knowing your track record, you'll probably just freak her out. Believe it or not, she might just take a dive off the ship to escape you."
Adrian straightened up, contemplating the grim possibility. “Yeah, you might be onto something there. Heck, she'd probably call in a chopper to airlift her out of this mess."
With a heavy sigh, Adrian slumped, all his excitement deflated.
He couldn't shake the gnawing fear: what if she wouldn't forgive him?
Would she even hear him out? That girl had practically launched herself into his arms; he hadn't even had time to react. He hadn't done anything wrong!
Reflecting on his reckless younger days spent partying in dimly Lit clubs, Adrian couldn't help but curse his past. Now, that image seemed to cling to him like a stubborn stain.
Seeing Adrian deflate, Holden couldn't resist poking fun at him.
“Can't handle not having her by your side?"
Adrian straightened up, playfully slapping Holden's shoulder. "I just haven't figured out how to win her back yet. You, on the other hand, got a knack for it. Even if you had amnesia, you still managed to win your wife back. Teach me your secrets."
Holden, growing weary of the conversation, shrugged off Adrian's hand.
He couldn't understand why he had ever befriended this fool five years ago.
As to how Adrian managed to become the CEO of BRD Group without any problems was beyond Holden's belief.
