Chapter: 1692
Jennifer stepped off the boat, her mind still swirling with doubts about what she had seen earlier. Was it just her imagination? Her vision was typically reliable, and the sighting hadn't initially seemed like a mere figment. How could it have disappeared so suddenly?
Or was Adrian playing tricks on her?
She couldn't tell if it was real or not, and it was starting to irritate her.
"Miss," came a cheerful male voice, snapping her out of her thoughts.
Looking up, Jennifer saw a handsome man hastening toward her, a smile on his face as he offered to help her with her bags.
Since the beginning of the show, Wilbert Duncan, hailing from three different countries and of mixed race, had been its cheerful spirit.
As the youngest guest, he was a renowned international rugby coach with numerous championship wins, a source of pride for his country.
“Let me assist you with your bags, Miss, he greeted Jennifer with a grin."
Wilbert had been fond of Jennifer since their first encounter and had been seeking an opportunity to engage her in conversation during the previous episodes. However, Jennifer had mostly been with Ariana, limiting his chances to interact with her.
Now seeing an opportunity, Wilbert took the initiative and started a conversation with Jennifer.
Jennifer recognized him and, with a smile, handed him her bags.
They began to talk and laugh as they walked toward the island resort.
Ariana and Mitchel followed behind them.
Out of the blue, Ariana heard a curse that sounded familiar to her ears.
She and Mitchel were the last ones on the path; surely, there was no one behind them, right?
Confused, Ariana spun around to look but saw no one. Had she misheard?
Hidden behind a cluster of rocks, Adrian struggled against Shawn's firm grip, his face red and his handsome features contorted in anger as he gritted his teeth. "That guy dares to eye my wife. I can't stand it!!"
With one hand casually tucked in his pocket and the other tapping away on his phone, Holden said, "Set him free. Let's find out if Jennifer rushes into his arms or makes a run straight to the sea the moment she lays eyes on him."
Upon hearing Holden's words, Adrian's anger slowly subsided. Though he was still clenching his teeth in frustration, the thought of charging out no longer crossed his mind.
Jennifer was already upset with him. If he attacked that guy now, wouldn't that just push her further away?
