Chapter: 1713
Zayden was still having a party. When he saw Sadie arrive, he only gave her a glance and continued to have fun with his friends.
Sadie didn't complain. She just sat quietly in a corner and cried.
When Zayden noticed her crying pitifully, he finally toned down. He waved his hand, hinting at everyone to leave. Then, he sat next to Sadie and asked, "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
Sadie didn't respond, but her tears fell like waterfalls. After a while, she looked at Zayden with red eyes and said between sobs, “Maybe I should leave Eleymond."
Zayden looked at her in confusion, not understanding what she meant.
Sadie continued, “I'm tired. What have I gained from all this persistence? I've lost everything. But in the end, it is all in vain. Maybe I am destined to love without being loved in return.”
Seeing Sadie crying pitifully like this and looking vulnerable, Zayden felt sorry for her. He moved closer, held her in his arms, and kissed her. "Don't be sad. I'm here for you. I promise your world will be quiet in a few days.”
This time, it was Sadie who looked at Zayden in confusion. She asked, “What do you mean?"
Zayden smiled mysteriously. Instead of answering her question, he pulled her up and said, "Let's go. I'll take you out to get some nourishment. No matter what, we can't neglect the baby in your belly. Don't be sad now. It's bad for the baby."
He gently touched Sadie's face and added affectionately, "Look at you. You've lost weight recently. You are pregnant, but you look very unhealthy. You need to keep up with your nutrition.”
Sadie was taken aback by Zayden's tender words. He rarely showed care and concern for her, so she was moved.
However, she soon came back to her senses. She regained her composure, and her expression darkened slightly. She touched her belly without saying anything.
She understood why Zayden was being nice to her all of a sudden. It must be because of the baby in her belly, which was his.
Ariana's phone buzzed incessantly with messages flooding in from her group chat.
Her friends didn't know about Holden, but they knew Theodore.
Among the flurry of messages, Sarah and a handful of others were frantically tagging Ariana, seeking answers.
“What's going on? Who's that man?"
“Wait, is he a person or a ghost?"
"How can there be someone who's Theodore's spitting image? Where did you unearth this doppelganger?"
“Did you scout a plastic surgery clinic to track down a lookalike or something?"
