Chapter: 1817
With a solemn yet forceful kick, he sent them sprawling several meters away on the floor.
The police officers rushed to intervene and stop Holden, but his anger refused to be quelled. How dare those men attack his wife in such a cowardly manner while he was away?
In a fit of rage, Holden unleashed his fury upon the two men, striking them relentlessly. Overwhelmed by fear, the two men cowered in a corner, unable to fight back. “We're sorry! We promise never to do this again!"
Eventually, Ariana tugged at Holden's sleeves, her tears still flowing. It was her action that finally broke through Holden's rage-induced haze. He turned to her, gathering her in his arms again.
Addressing the police with a steely resolve, he declared, "My lawyer will handle this case. I demand the strictest punishment for them, and I won't accept any settlements."
Holden, after making sure Ariana was okay, asked the police, "Who are they?"
One police officer sighed and replied, "They're Sadie's obsessed fans. They attacked Ms. Edwards due to the online uproar."
The two men tried to defend themselves. “We didn't mean harm. Just wanted to scare her. We got hit hard. Please, Mr. Fredrick, we're not bad people. Give us another chance. We won't do it again."
Holden, furious, asked them coldly, "How did you learn her address?"
They confessed immediately, “It's all over the internet now. Someone leaked it."
Then, the man with red hair pulled out his phone and showed it to Holden.
It was a picture. Indeed, it not only had Ariana's exact address but also her private phone number.
The red-haired man said, "We can provide any evidence you need, and we can help you find out who leaked it. We just wanted to scare her, not to hurt her. Please give us a chance. We really don't want to go to jail."
Holden ignored them and turned to Shawn with a cold expression.
“Contact the legal team and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. Also, arrange for an investigation to uncover who leaked the information."
Holden was clearly very angry.
After taking care of these matters, Holden left with Ariana.
Once they were in the car, Holden gently wiped Ariana's face with a towel soaked in water. Then, he took the emergency medical kit from the car to treat the wounds on her arm. He asked softly, “Are you hurt anywhere else?"
Ariana looked at him, then turned her face away. She withdrew her hand and said with a bitter smile, "Seems like I've been having a string of bad luck lately. Getting injured over and over again. It's pointless to tend to the wounds now."
Holden lowered his eyes, which was filled with regret. “It's all my fault. I didn't protect you well enough."
