Chapter: 1828
Bennett had picked his musclemen from people without any identity or country. They had been put through intense training. As a result, they were all very strong.
His top muscleman was a two-time champ at the beast arena, and the strength of that muscleman could not be underestimated.
Bennett had a lot of faith in his muscleman. He looked at Zayden and smiled. “Okay, if your beast takes down my muscleman, we can talk business."
The crowd around them cheered and started placing bets.
The blonde-haired man clapped his hands and said, “Hey, you two can also bet on this. It could be fun!"
Bennett took a sip of his drink and asked Zayden, “What do you think?"
Zayden sat down beside Bennett with a grin. “If we're betting, let's go big. If my wolf loses, I'll give you everything I've got in Conata."
The crowd was all shocked. Nobody present had expected Zayden to risk so much.
Was Zayden this sure about his wolf? Or was his problem in Eleymond pushing him to be so reckless?
When Bennett heard Zayden's offer, he was caught off guard at first, but then, his eyes lit up. With a cheeky grin, he said, “Okay, if I lose, I'll agree to anything you ask."
Everyone knew that getting a promise from Bennett was like striking gold. When the crowd heard what was on the Line, they got more excited.
"Deal," Zayden replied.
In no time, the area was cleared. Bennett's muscleman stood on one side of the arena. He was almost two meters tall with a dark complexion and his chest bare. His body was crisscrossed with scars, each one a story of a battle fought and won.
He also had tattoos, making him look more intimidating. Even from far away, one could tell he was not someone to mess with.
On the other side, Zayden's beast, a wolf, waited. This wolf was a bit bigger than normal wolves, with shiny fur that had a hint of white at the tips. Its eyes gleamed with a fierce green glow, showing off its predatory instincts. As soon as it saw the muscleman, it started growling, its sharp teeth on full display.
The muscleman and the wolf stared each other down.
After a tense couple of seconds, both the man and the wolf lunged forward at the same time.
The muscleman used his raw power to deliver a punch right to the wolf's snout as it leaped toward him. Even after getting hit, the wolf stayed airborne, twisting its body to clamp its jaws onto the man's arm.
The man tried to punch the wolf again, but the wolf was quick and clever. As the man's fist came swinging, the wolf swiftly turned, tearing a chunk of flesh from the man's hand. Before the man could react, the wolf leaped at him again.
The brutal fight went on for half an hour, leaving both the man and the wolf battered and bloody. In the end, the wolf played a trick on the muscleman, pretending to go one way, then lunging the other to sink its teeth into the man's neck.
