Chapter: 1962
"Thirty million, deal! Sold to Ms. Ballard! Congratulations on acquiring your desired beast slave! He's now yours to do with as you please."

A woman auctioned off a beastly slave.

Ariana couldn't resist glancing at beast slave number eleven, a strikingly handsome and slender man, ranking among the top in appearance even if he were in the entertainment industry. However, he now knelt before everyone like a submissive dog.

Nelly Ballard even retrieved a dog chain from her bag and fastened it around his neck, smiling as she remarked, "Your eyes resemble the dog I had in my childhood. I named him Henry, and now, you'll be called Henry, too."

Apart from his attractive appearance, the man's body was a mess of wounds. Nonetheless, he remained determined to escape, bolting into the crowd before Nelly could react. He made a dash for the door to get his freedom.

Despite the accident unfolding before them, none of the guests displayed any hint of panic. Rather, they remained still with their arms folded, observing the man's movements with intrigue. Some even deliberately cleared a path for him.

The man made a desperate effort to escape. Just as he was about to make it, Nelly pulled out a gun and targeted his limbs.

“Henry, why did you run away? I gave you a new life, yet you betrayed me. Do you realize how much you've hurt me?" Nelly cried and fired four shots. She was a skilled shooter; each bullet struck the man precisely.

Her weeping and the man's piercing scream echoed from the scene.

The distressing sounds made Ariana instinctively cover her ears, trying to shut them out.

Just as she was about to shut her eyes, Fraser unexpectedly turned and blocked her view.

Ariana couldn't tell if he had done it intentionally. All she knew was that he had swiftly shifted his position and obstructed her view of the bloody scene.

Ariana had witnessed many violent scenes before but never grew accustomed to them, always feeling a sense of fear. She appreciated Fraser's gesture and whispered, "Thank you."

Fraser remained facing forward, seemingly unaware of her words.

At that moment, Bennett returned from giving orders to his men. He ignored the chaos around them and affectionately asked Ariana, “Is there something you're interested in? I can bid on it for you."

“No," Ariana answered, uninterested, and subtly moved back a bit to maintain some distance from Bennett.

Bennett noticed it but simply smiled, saying nothing.

He knew better than to press Ariana too hard. After all, even a cornered rabbit might bite.

"It doesn't matter if you're not fond of anything here. After all, the manor has everything one could need." Bennett looked towards the beast slaves on stage and commented casually with a smile.

His suggestion made Ariana feel disgusted.
