Chapter: 1979
Ariana was growing increasingly distant from Holden with each passing moment.

Panic engulfed her.

"Where's Holden?" she asked the driver. Even though she already knew the answer, she couldn't help but ask.

"Mr. Fredrick exited to save Adrian and instructed me to ensure your safety. We're nearing the estate's exit, and I'll forcibly clear any obstacles there," the driver replied honestly.

"Turn back," Ariana ordered without hesitation.

She didn't know how much time had passed since she had passed out.

She was worried about Holden and Adrian, knowing that Bennett was capable of anything.

The driver “But Mr. Fredrick prioritized ensuring your safety.." seemed hesitant.

His words were interrupted by a distant explosion that sent a chill down Ariana's spine.

Panic evolved into terror as Ariana's mind raced through grim scenarios.

Something bad must have happened to Holden and Adrian!

“Turn around and go back!" Ariana snapped, her tone icy. Seeing the driver's hesitation, she said, “Turn back immediately, or I'll jump out!"

That persuaded the driver. Recognizing the severity of Ariana's warning and aware of the consequences if she were hurt, the driver swiftly turned the vehicle around and sped back.

On the road back to the scene, the aftermath became apparent-—cracked roads marked with blast craters, debris strewn across, and blood spattering the ground.

Witnessing this, Ariana's face turned pale, and her worst apprehensions appeared increasingly plausible.

It seemed Bennett had resorted to extreme measures.

Ariana was now extremely worried about Holden's and Adrian's safety.

Ariana was terrified looking at the scene. The sight of blood was enough to send chills down her spine, but the thought that Holden and Adrian might be among the victims scared her even more.

Her legs trembled with fear, yet she forced herself to check the bodies to see if they belonged to Holden or Adrian.

Darkness had already settled, making it difficult to identify faces.
