“What's wrong?" Holden asked, glancing at him.

“I forgot we need a fingerprint or facial recognition data to get out," Adrian said with a sigh.

"Don't worry about it." Holden held up his hand, showing a thin film of the fingerprint. "Bennett just gave me this."

Adrian's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, Bennett really came through for us."

They quickly used the fingerprint film to open the door, not wanting to waste any time. The thought of Moss catching up to them spurred them on.

Once outside, they were bathed in the long-lost warmth of the sun.

Holden took a moment to close his eyes and enjoy the sun. He then opened his eyes and glanced down at Ariana, asleep in his arms. He smiled softly.

"Time to take you home," Holden muttered under his breath.

Adrian stretched lazily, his face lighting up at the thought of seeing Jennifer again. He was about to cheer out loud when the elevator dinged behind them.

Moss stepped out from the elevator, wielding a chainsaw.

The noise made Adrian and Holden turn around. Adrian's heart sank at the sight of the blood-soaked chainsaw.

The metallic scent of blood filled the air. Adrian whispered urgently to Holden, “That's not Bennett's blood, is it? Don't tell me Bennett is already dead..."

Holden's face was grim. He said nothing.

At that moment, Moss approached them, the chainsaw in his hand dripping with blood that ran down his hand and onto the floor.

Adrian was terrified. He wanted to scream, "Back off, you freak!"

Moss was close now, just a step away from slicing Adrian and Holden in half.

Moss' eyes locked onto Holden. His voice was cold as he made an offer. "Leave the woman, and you and your friend can walk away."

"You're out of your mind," Holden shot back. "You think we went through all this for nothing? We're not leaving her."

Holden glared at Moss, adding, “Emilia's gone. She won't come back from the dead. You need to give up now."

Moss's rage erupted, his voice nearly a shriek. "No! Emilia isn't dead! With Ariana, I can bring her back from the dead!"
