Chapter: 2062
Without warning, Adrian's stomach clenched painfully, and he dry heaved several times, though nothing emerged. His eyes felt foggy.

This was a reaction to the substance Moss had injected Adrian with, but neither Adrian nor Shawn realized this.

Assuming Adrian was merely suffering from low blood sugar, Shawn began patting his back and quickly had someone bring over water and chocolate.

Despite feeling awful, Adrian still managed to crack a few jokes with Shawn. After he ate the chocolate, he felt slightly better and declared himself ready to guide Shawn to the metal house.

Shawn noticed Adrian's pale complexion and hesitated, suggesting, "Maybe you could just tell me where it is. My team and I can go there by ourselves."

Adrian understood Shawn's concern but shook his head, signaling he was fit to go with them. He even increased his pace, urging them, “We need to hurry up. It's going to be harder to find Holden once it gets darker."

As they proceeded, they suddenly encountered an SUV blocking their path.

The screeching brakes ripped through the stillness, sending a cloud of dust swirling through the air, prompting everyone to quickly shield their eyes and ears.

“Watch out!" Adrian exclaimed, his brow deeply furrowed as he surveyed the surroundings with caution. He then gestured for Shawn and the others to retreat a few steps.

On hearing this command, the team instantly pulled out their guns, aiming at the SUV from a cautious distance, ready to fire should any figure emerge.

Yet, no one emerged from the car.

The silence lengthened, adding more creases to Adrian's already furrowed brow as he squinted, trying to decipher the driver's intent.

Why had the driver halted them so abruptly and then remained silent?

Adrian signaled to his men to move forward and investigate. Advancing with deliberate caution, several team members approached the vehicle.

One of them, whose eyes were particularly sharp, peered through the window and announced, "Boss, there's no one behind the wheel, but it seems there's someone lying in the backseat."

Prompted by curiosity, Shawn moved quickly to the SUV and flung open the back door.

There was Holden, lying in the backseat!

Surprised, Shawn widened his eyes and turned to Adrian, yelling, "We've found Mr. Fredrick!"

“Really?” Adrian dashed over, his expression turning surprised when he saw that it truly was Holden.

The realization that Holden was still alive brought immense relief to him. Otherwise, he would have borne a heavy burden of guilt.
