Chapter: 2065
The plane landed smoothly in Eleymond.
Holden, now nearly recovered, was preoccupied with thoughts of Ariana.
He instructed Shawn to drive him straight to Mercy Hospital as soon as they landed.
"Understood," Shawn replied, opening the car door for Holden.
As Holden settled into the vehicle, the engine roared to life.
Suddenly, Holden remembered Adrian was still on the plane. "Shawn, go wake Adrian and bring him out," he said hastily.
Shawn, who was in the process of buckling his seatbelt in the passenger seat, stopped and realized he had also forgotten about Adrian.
Back inside the cabin.
Shawn approached Adrian and said respectfully, “We've arrived. Mr. Fredrick sent me to wake you up and escort you off the plane."
Adrian didn't react, so Shawn gently shook him a few times. Under normal circumstances, this would have woken anyone, but Adrian remained deeply asleep.
When Holden learned about Adrian's situation, he was so alarmed that he hurried over to check on Adrian personally.
Despite Holden calling his name and shaking him repeatedly, Adrian remained unresponsive for several minutes. Holden, clearly anxious, persisted in his efforts to wake Adrian.
Nearby, Shawn's anxiety was evident. He watched Holden, concerned that Holden might be too rough with Adrian.
Then, unexpectedly, Adrian woke up.
Relief washed over Shawn, which quickly morphed into confusion as he noticed Adrian's odd behavior.
Upon opening his eyes, Adrian surveyed the room, suddenly jumped to a corner, and crouched like a tiger, even growling at Holden and Shawn.
Taken aback by the scene, Holden and Shawn stood frozen.
“What is happening to him?" they both muttered.
Just then, Adrian growled once more and started to lick his hand, his movements exuding odd elegance.
"Um, Mr. Fredrick..." Shawn began, his voice faltering. "Does Adrian think he's a tiger now?"
