Chapter: 2066
This was a bewildering situation.
Holden, with a grave expression, paused to reflect before saying, "He might be hallucinating again. Last time, he mistook me for his wife. Now, he believes he's a tiger."
Upon hearing this, Shawn was even more shocked.
Yet, as Holden's seasoned assistant, Shawn quickly composed himself and inquired about their next steps.
"We should take him to a hospital and let the top doctor available treat him," Holden suggested after assessing Adrian, who was clearly unable to disembark the plane on his own.
Shawn called over some helpers to take Adrian off the plane.
Adrian fought back, growling and lashing out at anyone who approached.
Despite his resistance, the group overpowered him, tying him up and swiftly transporting him to the hospital.
Following Holden's directions, Shawn and his team hurried Adrian into the emergency room. Despite the chaos, Shawn made it a point to apologize to Adrian for the rough treatment, urging his team to expedite their movements to minimize the time Adrian needed to be restrained.
As Holden arrived at the hospital to visit Ariana, he crossed paths with her doctor who was just leaving her hospital room. The doctor acknowledged him with a respectful nod and greeted him.
"How is Ariana?" Holden inquired directly.
"She's stable, but she's been injected with an unidentified substance that has induced a coma," the doctor replied, pausing for a moment.
"We won't know when she'll awaken until we figure out what the substance is and begin the right treatment."
Holden's expression turned cold.
"Rest assured, Mr. Fredrick; we are doing everything we can now, and we'll cure her as soon as possible,” the doctor quickly added, bowing slightly.
Holden remained silent, only nodding to signal the doctor to Leave.
Once he was alone with Ariana, Holden's expression softened. He sat by Ariana's bedside, tenderly stroking her hair and kissing her hand, feeling grateful she was still with him.
"I'LL wait for you to wake up," Holden whispered, holding her hand tightly. His voice was thick with emotions as he vowed, "No matter how long it takes, I won't lose you again."
The news of Ariana's return spread swiftly, and by nightfall, her friends and relatives had all come to see her.
When Melon entered the ward, he instantly sensed something was amiss, as he found his mother in a coma. Overwhelmed, he broke down crying, and no one was able to comfort him.
