Chapter: 2069
The doctor had said that the drug's effects would wear off eventually, but it was uncertain when. What if it took decades? What if she were too old to walk by the time Adrian returned to his normal self?

Thinking of this, Jennifer sighed.

Meanwhile, Adrian's eyes widened once more.

Despite her earlier fierceness, Jennifer was undeniably beautiful, and the gentle caress she had given him soothed him.

He delighted in her familiar and comforting scent.

Noticing Adrian sniffing around, Jennifer felt puzzled but didn't have the chance to ask him what was wrong before he suddenly pounced on her.

They tumbled onto the carpet, with Adrian ending up on top of Jennifer. He instinctively snuggled closer, nuzzling her palms and then her chest, clearly relishing the proximity. The fierce tiger had transformed into a cuddly kitten.

Adrian's taller and heavier frame made it uncomfortable for Jennifer lying underneath him. At first, she gently asked him to get off, but when he ignored her and burrowed deeper into her clothes, she slapped him.

"Pervert!" Jennifer shouted as she jumped to her feet, pointing an accusing finger at Adrian. Her embarrassment quickly flared into anger. "Even as a little tiger, you can't stop being a sleaze, can you?"

Stung by her slap, Adrian quickly scrambled away.

He now sought refuge behind an armchair, curling up into a ball. His head was bowed, his face hidden from view, his posture one of utter dejection.

He was confused by Jennifer's renewed anger. He hadn't intended any harm; he had simply wanted to be playful.

As Jennifer was fervently scolding Adrian, the door to the hospital room groaned open.

Sonia and Sarah stepped inside.

They had just left Ariana's room, shocked by the news that Adrian had been injected with an unknown substance. Concerned for him, they felt compelled to check on him.

They had half-expected Adrian to be fierce, considering he believed he was a tiger after being injected.

However, they encountered a surprising scene: Adrian stood quietly behind Jennifer, his demeanor aggrieved.

"He looks less like a tiger and more like a frightened kitten,"

Sonia remarked.

Her statement immediately drew Adrian's attention, and he looked up, alert and tense.
