Chapter: 102
Hearing this, Rosalynn stopped struggling. She didn't expect that Brian would also notice it.

However, she couldn't help but wonder what Brian was actually thinking. If someone was following them, why did he have to act intimate with her and put his arm around her waist?

Brian guided Rosalynn into a deserted alley.

Shortly after, their pursuers appeared.

Rosalyn observed the six burly men before her and noticed a man holding his chest. She instantly understood.

Apparently, the man she had beaten earlier had enlisted help from others.

“She's the one who assaulted me. She nearly crippled me. Fellas, take her down!"

With a fierce look, the man spoke to the strong men in local accent.

Brian moved closer to Rosalynn and inquired, “Seems like he's got a grudge against you?"

Rosalynn grinned. "I took him down earlier."

Brian raised an eyebrow and said, "Impressive. Need my assistance?”

“No, I'm good." Rosalynn declined outright.

Brian laughed. "I can't help being a bit defiant. You say no, but I'm definitely helping!"

Rosalynn was speechless.

He wasn't so much defiant as he was childlike.

“Let me be clear. If you get hurt, I'm not taking responsibility.”

They stood back to back and Rosalynn didn't forget to pass the buck.

Brian chuckled. “Don't worry about me. Did you see the knives they're carrying? If you get injured, | won't acknowledge it as a work-related injury.”

"What a money-grubber!"

"What was that?”

"| said be careful! Don't let yourself be distracted!"

As they bantered, the group of burly men charged at them, knives in hands.

Rosalynn's beautiful face hardened as she evaded and counterattacked.

These strong men were local rascals, and they were good at fighting.

During the fight, Rosalyn narrowly avoided being cut by their knives several times.
