Chapter: 288
“The dishes aren't bad."
“Still not as delicious as the food you cook." Brian paused and Looked her in the eye.
“When will you cook for me again?"
If she was willing to cook for him, it meant that she would be his girlfriend.
Was he so sure that she would say yes?
Rosalynn pursed her lips.
“Since you mentioned it, allow me to answer your question yesterday. I do not want to be your girlfriend."
Brian froze, his smile completely wiped off his face.
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to be involved in the train wreck that is your love life. I don't want to be referred to as your ex-girlfriend once you get tired of me."
She knew that was exactly what he would do. It was the textbook definition of a player, and Brian was one.
Once he got bored with his current girlfriend, he just broke up with her and moved on with a new one.
Rosalynn refused to be another notch on his belt.
Brian's eyes narrowed, and a glint of determination settled on his features.
“You say that you don't want to be my ex-girlfriend.
Rosalynn, are you saying that you want me to marry you? Do you want to be Mrs. Hughes?"
Rosalynn smiled sardonically.
"You're reading too much into it. That's not what I meant at all. I just don't want to be involved with you outside of work."
Mrs. Hughes?
She had been Mrs. Hughes for two years. She didn't want to hold that title ever again.
Brian's face darkened.
"Do you have someone you like? Is it Barlow?"
