Chapter: 1009
Feeling a little awkward, Jessie finally stopped applauding and mustered an awkward smile.
“Well, Jessie, perhaps you should borrow the other actors' notebooks and copy their notes of Maria's explanation as well,” Francis pointed out.
He actually sounded quite euphemistic, which was meant to save Jessie trom further humiliation.
However, Jessie didn't take it that way. She sneered, wanting to say something to make fun of Maria. But before she could, another voice interrupted her.
“Jay, can I borrow your notebook? Maria spoke a bit fast just now. I missed a few points."
To her surprise, Jessie saw Rooney asking to borrow Jay's notebook... just to copy his notes on Maria's explanation.
What was going on?
“Jay, can I borrow your notebook too?"
“Me too, I also missed out a few things at the beginning."
One by one, all the actors asked to copy Jay's notes. After listening to both Maria's and Francis’ explanations just now, they had realized that Maria had a lot of great insight to offer on the story.
Just now, while Maria was speaking, many of them had been contemptuous of her just like Jessie and hadn't taken notes of what she was saying. But now, they regretted it and wanted to make up for it.
As for Jessie, she was still completely at a loss as to what was going on. After all, she was the only one in the room who hadn't bothered to listen to a single word of what Maria was saying!
“Well, that's all for this morning. Everyone, read your notes, change into your costumes and put on makeup. After Lunch, you'll have a half hour break before we start shooting," Francis announced into the megaphone that he was carrying.
The actors, especially those who had to act in the first few scenes, rushed to their respective dressing rooms with their script and notebook.
“Maria, come on!" Claire called out in a low but excited voice. She had no scenes to act in today.
“Okay.”
With a simple nod, Maria walked towards her dressing room.
When she entered the dressing room, she found that Jessie was already sitting there.
This dressing room was exclusive to the female lead of the movie, which meant that Jessie had no right to enter.
Before Maria could say anything, Jessie, who had already taken the seat, shot her an apologetic smile that looked as artificial as her face.
“I'm so sorry, Maria. My makeup artist happened to have a stomachache and she's still in the restroom. I'll just borrow your makeup artist this time. It's all for work."
Maria looked questioningly at the makeup artist who was attending to Jessie.
The makeup artist was a senior in the entertainment industry and had worked for many movie stars before.
She was familiar with Jessie, who was already a famous star, but had yet to work with Maria, who was just a newcomer. Besides, there was still a lot of negative news circulating about Maria on the Internet.
