Chapter: 1014
Liza swallowed the Lump in her throat.
She was indeed unwilling to do the makeup of the stunt double.
That was not the problem, though. The thing was, she did not do Maria's makeup.
She did not know whether Maria did her own makeup or asked another makeup artist to do it because she had left the dressing room earlier to help Jessie.
Liza took a few glances in Maria's direction. The woman's makeup was flawless. It would be hard for Liza to copy it.
There were some details in the makeup that was very well done. Even if Liza was incredibly talented, she would still need to take the time to observe, learn, and practice in order to replicate such a method.
"Mr. Jackson, that's not what I mean," Liza stuttered.
"Whatever." Despite his displeasure with her demeanour, Francis nodded and said, "Get on with it then."
He then beckoned Maria's stunt double to come closer.
As expected, the stunt double had the same height and physique as
Maria.
"You can put makeup on her in Maria's dressing room. Now, go! Chop chop!" With that, Francis turned to leave.
Liza stood on her spot in silence.
She had absolutely no idea what to do now.
The other makeup artists gathered around her, unaware that Liza was panicking inwardly.
"Liza, can we watch you work?" someone asked expectantly.
Do we need to pay the tuition? Because I'll gladly do so," another makeup artist joked.
"Come on, Liza. Start now. Mr. Jackson specifically asked you to do this."
Liza did not respond. She was totally at a loss for what to do. She simply knew she was doomed.
As expected, fire could not be wrapped with paper
Sure enough, the truth that Liza was not the one doing Maria's makeup was quickly discovered by the people around here.
Meanwhile, Maria was rehearsing her lines with Jay when she noticed people stealing glances at her.
When she turned to them, however, they quickly averted their eyes.
The few who were bold enough to meet her gaze looked either apologetic or in awe. They seemed to have become her fans.
