Chapter: 1019
It was even more so with being hung with the wire for the flying scenes.
Seconds later, Maria's reaction proved that Jessie was right.
Maria glanced at her stunt double, and for some reason, her eyes trailed down to Myah's old sneakers. Then, she shook her head.
“No, I think it's better to let my stunt double handle it," Maria replied in a flat tone.
At this time, Francis also stood up. He said, "Maria doesn't have to do the following scenes by herself. We have a professional stunt double to do that for her."
Francis was concerned about Maria's safety.
She was Mia after all.
Even so, she still honored him by playing the heroine in his movie.
He wouldn't risk hurting her just to shoot some stunt scenes, especially when they were not very important or necessary to begin with.
Francis was worried for a good reason. If it one day became known that Maria was Mia, he would definitely be hated by her fans if she got hurt while shooting his movie.
“Really? What a pity!" Jessie scoffed and shook her head with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.
She glanced at her colleagues, and sure enough, they were whispering to each other. They were also of the same mind that Maria should follow her example and shoot the scenes without stunt double.
Maria knew all that was being said about her, but she remained indifferent as though it meant nothing to her.
She turned away from the others and calmly sat on the small stool arranged for her.
“How can she be so useless and still manage to act proudly?" Jessie rebuked coldly in a Low voice.
She thought no one could hear her, but Myah, who wasn't very far from her heard what she said.
Myah stared openly at Jessie in astonishment.
When Jessie realized that the girl had heard her, she rolled her eyes indifferently and turned away.
She wasn't scared of Myah. The girl was just a stunt double. She couldn't do anything with what she knew.
Jessie was sure Myah wouldn't dare to expose a main character Like her. The stuntmen who didn‘t play important roles wouldn't dare to step on the toes of the main actors.
"Action!"
Francis shouted, and at once, the actors in that scene started playing their part.
“Watch out!"
Jessie shouted as she pulled out the sword of a guard and stood ready to fight.
