Chapter: 1023
She jerked her wrist so quickly the sword disappeared in a stream of bright light. It looked as if she had summoned a silver dragon. It charged forward now, its metal teeth glinting ominously.

"Great! You are incredible!"

Francis couldn't contain his excitement. He laughed, bouncing restlessly from foot to foot as his eyes gleamed.

This set of choreography was the focal point of the play's motion design. It was intended to be performed by the greatest sword master as part of the most powerful attack in the entirety of the Female Military Counsellor series.

Maria's swordplay didn't need to be boosted by fancy special effects. It was a spectacle on its own!

Francis had no qualms about booting the previous stunt double and having Maria shoot a retake. There was no doubt about it.

He also didn't hesitate to cut Jessie's Lines from the scenes.

These were only minor changes—the whole story still remained intact. Francis was a skilled director, especially adept at shuffling and re-arranging scenes to produce the best final effect. These adjustments would allow the audience to look beyond Jessie's princess airs and appreciate the complexity of the martial arts.

The shoot went quite smoothly over the next few days, and the crew found themselves working ahead of schedule.

Francis reviewed the final shots with a broad smile on his face. He thumped excitedly, his giddy eyes sparkling happily.

"You guys get a day off. I need some time to put the film through the post-production process, editing and special effects, and whatnot." Francis announced with a loud clap of his hands, his Loud voice booming through the set.

This is how filmmaking worked. Multiple rounds of shooting were followed by a short pause while the crewmembers compiled and edited the completed scenes. This way, every department had a moment to unwind and relax before commencing work.

Taking advantage of her rare day off, Maria decided to return to Anthony's villa. She texted him her plans in advance.

Anthony was in the first-floor living room when she arrived. He Looked up as she entered, lips curling into a soft smile as he slouched in his wheelchair.

"Which do you prefer-the kitchen or the bedroom?" Anthony asked categorically.

The strange inquiry startled Jack. He'd been busy making coffee at the side and the spoon clattered noisily as it fell from his fingers.

“Is Mr. Wilson in such a hurry to enjoy the night with Miss Jenkins?" Jack asked himself.

Maria knew that Anthony's words carried no vulgar undertones. They were laced with a quiet concern for her.

He was reminding her that she hadn't treated herself with the hibernation pod in a few days.

“I'm not hungry. Can we go to the bedroom now?" Maria asked, dulcet tones low and obedient.

"Of course. I've got all the equipment ready to go.”

Anthony waited until they were behind the cover of the curtain. Out of plain view, he pushed himself off the wheelchair.

“Let's go."

He grabbed her hand and hurried her to the second floor where the hibernation pod was already set up and running.
