Chapter: 1038
“Those movements... If they are performed by someone with great cultivation, the blow will be massive and deadly." Jack could not stifle his gasp.
"Was this really designed for a simple movie?" he wondered to himself. As far as he could tell, even the martial arts that were long practiced and mastered throughout various clans could not compare with the Jenkins Boxing.
The young man finished his performance in no time. Maria turned to Jack and patted his shoulder.
"Can you do that?"
Jack nodded emphatically.
“Yes, yes. I've grasped it all."
With his formidable martial arts talents, he was able to learn the moves after even just seeing a demonstration once.
Alex gaped at him in disbelief. "Are you sure about that? You should know that it took us an entire month to learn every move. There’s no need to act tough. I don't mind giving you another demonstration."
Alex assumed the beginning stance and prepared to do the routine all over again.
Jack, however, only shook his head and insisted, "No, thank you. I've learned everything I need to know."
Of course, no one believed he had actually picked up anything. That was, ho one except for Maria.
The prop team were still getting the site ready, and Francis estimated that it would take at least another hour before they could start shooting. He waved at the crew and gave them permission to do whatever they Liked in the meantime.
"It's going to take a while yet. How about we take a stroll out on the mountain, Maria?"
Claire was already familiar with Maria, and as they had an hour to kill, she opted to spend it with her new friend.
“Okay." As for Maria, she had just had a good sleep, so she didn't have to worry about a narcolepsy attack any time soon.
The two girls walked along the mountain road, chatting away and enjoying the beautiful scenery around them. Jack followed behind them in silence.
At one point, Claire glanced back at him. And while she looked curious, she elected not to say anything.
Moments later, the trio reached an open area on the hillside, with a pavilion sitting in the middle of the wide space.
A man sat all by himself, his thick arms laced with tattoos, his head shaved. He looked like someone from the underworld, and it didn't help that he was glaring at Maria with unmistakable hostility.
“Maria... Maria, I think we should head back." Claire was terrified by the man's menacing appearance.
He was more than ten meters away, but he seemed to have heard her words, even though they were spoken in a whisper. With a sneer, the man got to his feet and began to stride toward them.
"Miss Jenkins, he is an ancient martial arts practitioner," Jack warned softly.
“I know," Maria nodded. She didn't look the least bit perturbed.
An ancient martial arts practitioner?
