He needed to seek Maria's forgiveness which was why he wanted to try his best to get on her good side.

“Mr. Jackson, why don't we give him a chance? He seems sincere enough!" Maria said assertively.

If Grover took over the role of the stunt double, that would mean that Maria would get more time off to rest.

It had been quite tiring for Maria playing both the heroine of the movie and acting as a stunt double. Doing both these jobs had really taken its toll on her well-being. She was tired often these days but had to pull herself together to do this.

Maria wasn't going to lose this chance when she finally found someone who could take over her job.

Francis gave a bitter smile and asked, "We can hire him but I'm afraid we'll have a lot of explaining to do.”

Grover had practically been a criminal for years ever since he'd been expelled by the Ancient Martial Arts Association.

Besides, Grover had also beaten the Leader of the security guards black and blue.

Maria thought for a while before an idea struck her on how to ease Francis’ concerns.

“We can just say that he is one of my relatives. He has been practicing martial arts in remote parts of the country for many years, and he has just returned to the city in search of a job. He had an altercation with the security guards because he didn't know we're filming here, but he knows he was wrong now and is willing to make amends."

"Well..." Francis didn't know what to say.

Maria continued, "To show his regret and apologize, he will pay in damages to the leader of the security guards, two hundred thousand dollars. That should cover any medical expenses."

Grover nodded and said, "Yes. I will be giving him two hundred thousand dollars as my apology!"

Francis couldn't exactly refuse Grover when he was being this cooperative.

“So What exactly should we introduce him to the crew, Maria?" Francis was not going to stop until they got the story right.

Francis had been convinced momentarily that it was okay for Grover to pretend to be Maria's cousin. On second thought though, Francis wanted to know what Maria thought of it.

Before Maria could respond, Grover interjected, “How about we say you're my aunt?"
