Chapter: 1051
Cory was stunned for a few seconds but immediately understood what Mathias wanted to say.

His expression became serious and he said in a firm voice, "I understand!"

Meanwhile, Julie was kneeling at the foot of the bed. She leaned towards her father, seemingly in a trance.

ALL of a sudden, a skinny hand gently touched her head, patting it lightly, like how her father used to do it when she was still young.

Mathias's strength was almost used up, and his voice became lower and lower.

“Julie... There're still so many things I want to tell you, but I had no time to say them personally. That‘s why I wrote a letter for you in advance... When I'm gone, don't forget to read it.

My lovely daughter..."

When Bill finally heard of the news of Mathias’ death, the old man's funeral had already been held.

“Damn it! What's the meaning of this?" Bill exclaimed, the expressions on his face changing with every passing second.

He didn't live in the Jenkins family villa, but in Patricia's villa. Actually, the Jenkins family villa had been empty for a Long time now He and Vivian had long moved out, and even the maid, Lily, had been relieved of her duties.

“Dad, what's wrong?" Vivian asked curiously.

With a Livid Look on his face, Bill said, "Your grandfather passed away a few days ago and no one in the Smith family thought I had the right to know about it. If I didn't see the news on my phone, I would have surely been kept in the dark until I magically found out."

“What? How can they keep us out Like that?" Vivian also exclaimed, understanding her father's anger.

“But, wait... What about grandfather's money? How much of it do we get?”

The young girl clearly didn't feel sad about the death of the man she called her grandfather. All she truly cared about, was the money she had been eager to get her hands on.

Bill shook his head and sighed. "I have no idea. The Smith family hasn't told me anything, but we certainly have a share. Your mother has been taking care of that old codger for so long. We should at least get a share of his money."

Vivian's eyes lit up at this. "Dad, you should call Mom now and ask when she's going to come back."

As soon as she said this, Vivian thought of something and face-palmed. Bill and Patricia had been living together for a while now. They wouldn't be able to hide this affair of theirs forever.

But if Julie found out that Bill had cheated on her with Patricia, whatever hope they had of him getting a share of Mathias’ money would be gone.

Vivian wouldn't have to worry about it if she was Julie's real daughter.

However, she knew that she was not Julie's biological daughter, and she had noticed that Julie had started treating Maria better. Maybe, Like her father, her share was also in danger.

“Dad! There are some things that Mom must never find out!" Vivian said anxiously after thinking of all their secrets.

“I know that! I'm not silly!"

Bill snapped back with a stoic face before he added, "I have given it some thought. Before your mother finds out what happened between me and Patricia, I have to make her sign the divorce agreement through which we will split the family property evenly.”
