Chapter: 1052
“That's a good plan, Dad. Let's do this! After the divorce and after you've gotten the property, Mom can't do anything even if she finds out about your affair. You'll be a free man after all, and you have the right to fall to love with whom you please."
That was exactly what Bill had in mind, but he was still a little embarrassed when he had to talk about his affair with his own daughter.
He scratched his nose uncomfortably and said, "Vivian, you have always been so considerate. You haven't said a single bad thing about me being with Patricia."
This was the first time that Bill was openly admitting to having an affair with Patricia. It was quite embarrassing, especially in front of his daughter.
Vivian's reaction wasn't what a father would have normally expected. She smiled and said, "Well, it's not Like any of them is my real mother. It makes no difference to me. Besides, since my childhood, I have always been closer to Aunt Patricia. I don't know why. Maybe it was meant to happen this way.”
“To be honest, I'm glad you think this way," Bill said with relief in his voice. He wanted to say something more, but he was hesitant and in the end just ended the topic.
Patricia walked out of the kitchen at that moment. She placed the dessert on the coffee table and sat down next to Bill, holding his arm intimately.
"Vivian, Julie is coming back to Sheffield," Patricia said hatefully.
“Really? How do you know that? Did she call you?" Vivian was a little nervous after hearing that news.
“No. Actually, we haven't been in contact for a long time. I don't even know why. Maybe she has forgotten her old friend,” Patricia answered, the same spite in her tone.
“However, I still have some friends in Broome and Julie wasn't seeking to hide her movements, so I easily heard that she was seen going to the airport."
As soon as Patricia said this, Vivian's phone rang.
She looked at the caller ID and saw that it was her mother, Julie. Vivian turned her phone and showed the screen to Bill and Patricia. They both stayed quiet and let Vivian answer the call.
“Mom? What...
What's up?"
The person on the other end of the line kept silent for a Long while. Vivian then finally heard Julie made out a sigh.
“Vivian, please do me a favor. Ask your father if he has time to meet me today."
Everyone present heard Julie's voice coming from the phone loud and clear, since Vivian had put it on speaker.
Bill wore a curious expression after hearing Julie's words.
. What do you mean by that, Mom? You want Dad to go and visit you in Broome?" Vivian feigned ignorance as she asked these questions.
“No, I will be returning to Sheffield."
They could all hear the fatigue in her voice.
Bill pulled even more of an expression.
Vivian, after receiving the instructions from Bill, answered Julie, “Mom, Dad and I are at home now. You should have told us earlier that you were coming back. We could pick you up from the airport!"
