Chapter: 1076
“Did you have breakfast? I have some snacks in my bag."

Maria was pleased. She smiled and reached out her hand, motioning him to hand over the delicious treats.

Darren's smile broadened as he promptly unzipped his own bag to reveal small packets of nuts, chocolate bars, biscuits, and everything else inside.

Maria gasped incredulously and teased, “Are you... are you a primary school kid on an outing? Do you always carry these snacks in your bag?"

"En?"

Darren blushed Like a school boy when he heard her words.

“But these are the treats we ate when we stayed up all night in the Internet cafe and play online games."

He wanted to say more but didn't.

Over the years, he only ate the same snacks that he and Maria had shared before.

“Really?”

Maria tilted her head and thought for a while. Then she realized that the brand and packaging of those snacks indeed Looked familiar.

But when she chose snacks back then, they were not dictated by her taste.

Most of the time, it depended on the price of the snacks and how much money she could spare.

Maria watched in awe as Darren took out the snacks worth no more than thirty dollars from his new limited-edition Gucci bag.

He was still that same boy with the heart of gold that Maria knew.

A boy who gave it his all and kept training to improve his competence so that he would be selected to play in the professional team. Indeed, he hadn't changed one bit.

Before they officially started the recording, the director gathered the six guests to give them the necessary instructions.

“As per tradition, we'll visit the colleges of our invited guests when we start a new episode. Now, we're going to start with. Vivian! You've been taking courses here in the Sheffield University, right?"

The director would have loved to record Darren first, even if it meant betraying the tradition on the show.

He could have easily taken that risk since Darren was without question the most popular one among the six guests. His appearance on the screen alone would get them a good rating for a start.

However, he had to follow basic social etiquette and start with the ladies. If not, the netizens would criticize him, and that was never a good thing.

So he addressed all the girls but for Maria.

He didn't need to ask her anything. First, she didn't go to college, and he heard that even the high school she attended was in the countryside.

This show, "My College Life", targeted the hipster elites. Going to the countryside to film some rural teachers who weren't very different from farmers wouldn't attract the audience he wanted.
