Chapter: 1101
She arranged a special box in the concert hall for the cast and crew right away.
When the director and cast arrived at the concert hall, Lydia was there to give them a warm greeting.
“Welcome! The concert has already begun. You'll be hearing various soundtracks and musical scores from popular movies and TV shows today,” Lydia explained.
The cameras were already rolling so the cast fixed their attentions on the show.
Shera commented, "I think this is the soundtrack from the movie The Mountains that's playing right now."
The Mountains was Mia's first book. The movie adapted from the novel had also become very successful. Its original soundtracks had won many awards.
Lydia complimented, “Mia is really an all-rounder. Not only is she a very talented and devoted writer but she's also a great composer and an accomplished songwriter."
The novels she had written under her pseudonym Mia, had earned her a modest reputation.
She deserved to be praised.
Vivian was envious. She also wrote novels in her spare time under the pen name 'Polly', but hers had gone completely unnoticed.
She stared sullenly at the concert's program list.
Half of the musical works to be performed at the concert were soundtracks from popular movies and highly rated TV series that had been made from Mia's novels.
Vivian had sung for soundtracks for some shows as well but none of her songs were being played here today.
Suddenly, the cast received instructions from the director through their ear pieces.
“Everyone, I want you all to share your favorite of Mia's books later. You can talk about the characters in the book and what impact the story had on your lives."
Finally, this was an interesting topic they could discuss.
The concert was pretty much headlined by Mia after all so it made sense to jump on the bandwagon.
These were the director's thoughts when he delivered the instruction.
He thought it was a great idea.
The cast and crew had their own private seating box so their arrival didn't cause too much of a stir.
By the time they were all seated, the opening score, ‘The Mountains’, had finished playing.
The three regular guests of the show looked at each other and decided among themselves that Lyman should be the first to speak.
"I studied traditional opera at school. I know quite a lot about folk music as a result. My feelings when listening to the main theme song of ‘The Mountains' might be a Little different to yours. I think the theme song not only has a very beautiful melody but I like how it has been combined with several folk tunes. It's quite amazing!"
Lyman continued in awe, "I must also add that Mia's musicianship is of a very lofty and professional standard."
