Chapter: 1124
“Time for a bit of trivia! There are three levels of confidentiality recognized by our government and society. From lowest to highest, they are Secret, Confidential, and Top Secret."

“Since Maria is a researcher at the No. 1 Research Institute, it goes without saying that they are in need of her skills and knowledge.”

“That is all, we hope we have provided you with some much-needed enlightenment."

“Enjoy the show, everyone!"

At this point, only a handful of comments were popping up beneath the live stream. And they were mostly emoticons and red punctuation marks. It seemed that the viewers were no longer able to describe their feelings coherently.

After a long while, someone was finally able to type out a string of words. The comment flashed across the screen as the show continued to play in the loop.

“Why did the production team go to great Lengths just to make things difficult for Maria and sabotage her image? Have they gone out of their minds?"

Then, Anthony hacked and restarted the voting system again irst place, Marii

“Second place, Darren

There were six guests in total, but the rest of them were almost tied for the third place.

The reason for this was that 99.9% of the audience had voted for Maria and Darren, making the remaining percentage negligible. The other four naturally had to share the next place in the ranking.

Back inside the control room at the headquarters, the directors and the guests were speechless. They were all in varying degrees of despair and misery.

After seeing how their votes had plummeted, it went without saying that their fans had abandoned them.

"What?!" Shera suddenly shrieked in horror. "I've only got five million followers on Twitter now!”

Previously, just a little after the broadcast of the show's sixth episode, her followers had numbered over ten million.

Half of that consisted of her real fans, while the other half were either bots or paid followers.

Now that the number was right before her eyes, she had no choice but to face a brutal reality. She had lost practically all of her real fans.

Beuford and Lyman's faces also darkened. They weren't faring any better than Shera in terms of online fans.

"Director," Shera pleaded desperately. "We should just stop putting the edited versions on air. I really don't mind if Maria comes out as the star at my expense."

"I second that," Beuford said in a somber voice.

Lyman could only nod in silence.

The director gave them a pained smile.

Did they still have a chance to make up for their mistakes and arrogance?

He wasn't sure whether to blame himself or the three regular guests for this debacle.
