Chapter: 1127
“I think you are right, Mom! Anthony is a good man, indeed! The very best!"
Julie was rendered speechless as she eyed Maria in confusion. Why did she have the feeling that Anthony's efforts and everything were nothing compared to the monetary compensation?
A little later in the day, the production team of Female Military Counsellor called Maria and asked her to come to set. She packed up her things and asked Grover to drive her there.
They were at the filming location in no time. The moment Maria stepped out of the car, her eyes immediately zeroed in on two familiar faces-Sophie and Judy.
"Why did you bring her here?" Maria asked Sophie right off the bat. Sophie rolled her eyes before saying, "To make money, of course! What other reason could I possibly have?"
As it turned out, after Jessie was fired from the cast, they needed a new actress to step in and play the role of the princess.
As an agent, it went without saying that Sophie would seize every opportunity to earn some cold, hard cash.
She wasted no time recommending Judy to Francis. Given her good looks and excellent acting skills, Judy aced the audition easily.
“It was decided that Jay will be singing the opening song for the movie, but considering the music style and the show's overall theme, the singer for the other songs on the soundtrack should ideally be a lady. It's a lucrative side project, so I've arranged for Judy to audition for that part as well." Sophie Looked so proud of herself.
"What is a good plan," Maria nodded. ‘Speaking of which," Sophie said, her tone suddenly turning bitter. "I happen to know of someone who has an angelic voice, but is stubbornly refusing to make use of her talents. If she would only give it a chance, the production team wouldn't have had to hold an audition for the soundtrack in the first place."
Maria instantly averted her gaze and stared into the distance.
A bunch of birds were circling in the sky not too far from where they stood.
Maria fixed her eyes on them as if they were the most important thing in the world at that moment.
There was a high-end professional recording studio that cooperated with major film crews all year round.
Recording demos for movies and TV dramas had been easy jobs that required Little to no skill to these professionals.
The main crew of the movie Female Military Counsellor-which was directed by Francis-went to the recording studio today.
There were also several well-known female singers there for an audition.
The recording studio had been reserved for today, so only the crew for the movie "Female Military Counsellor" and those auditionees were allowed inside.
At that time, Francis had to choose among the female singers to sing the opening and ending songs for the movie.
"I'm not feeling too well today, Mr. Jackson. Can I be the last one to record a demo?" asked the singer wearing a beret and sunglasses-Elma Moore.
"Do you have a sore throat, Elma?" Francis frowned.
“Okay, but the order doesn't matter. It won't affect my judgment, and I won't add extra credit just because of your condition."
Elma smiled. "That's alright, Mr. Jackson." Although she said that, a hint of disappointment flashed through her eyes.
She just signed the non-disclosure agreement, and the crew had finally played the soundtrack of Female Military Counsellor's opening and ending songs for her.
