Chapter: 1128
Elma was surprised by what she heard.
Mia composed the music herself and as expected, it was another great masterpiece. Elma had only listened to it once, but she was undoubtedly sure that those songs would win countless awards.
Any professional singer would be lucky to sing one of those songs.
Elma vowed to get this job, no matter how must it cost.
She had been in the entertainment industry for more than ten years and already had several hit songs. But since times had changed, her new songs during these past two years barely attracted any attention.
Three other singers also came to the studio to record the demo today, but Elma could care less about them. She knew that they were also veteran singers, but she believed that she was better than them.
There was only one woman she was worried about, though. And it was Judy.
Judy had just started her career. She was a newcomer, but the rise of her popularity was quite obvious in the music industry.
Not long ago, she was the one who sang for the hit TV series, Legend of Anne. With her excellent vocals and Mia's work, she became regarded as the most popular newcomer of the year in the music industry.
Today, Judy was also part of the singers who were supposed to record a sample of the songs that Mia created. With Judy's successful experience in singing for Legend of Anne, Elma was so worried that Francis would eventually choose Judy
“Is Judy here yet?" Elma asked as she looked around. She only saw two of her peers, but she couldn't see Judy anywhere.
“Did she get cold feet?"
At that point, there were only less than ten minutes before the recording session would start.
Elma truly hoped that Judy wouldn't show up.
However, she got disappointed.
Three minutes before the recording, Judy finally arrived.
Two other girls were with her. Elma immediately recognized one of them as the leading actress in the movie. It was Maria.
Maria and Judy walked inside the studio together with a huge cup of bubble milk tea in one hand and a container with fried octopus in another.
“Maria, this fried octopus... Isn't as good as I expected it to be,” Judy muttered as she continue chewing.
Maria rolled her eyes. "You're so picky. I paid for that, you know? Give me my money back if you don't Like it."
"What?" Judy pouted.
“I bought us the milk tea with my money, though.” At that moment, someone else went over to them.
It was their agent-Sophie.
“You can't eat your way up your career, girls," Sophie impatiently reprimanded. "You two are idols! Act like one. Besides, what you spent wasn't your money. It was mine!"
