Chapter: 1134
Judy opened her mouth as widely as she could, in spite of the intense discomfort.
“It's caused by some drug," Maria concluded.
“Her throat is swollen and there is a strange smell emitting from her mouth," Maria said solemnly.
“What?" Elma squirmed softly and then said in a nervous voice, “She was eating just now. I wonder if she ate something that did not agree with her."
In fact, Elma was extremely nervous.
The recording room was full of people from the entertainment industry. She was stunned when Maria made a proper diagnosis like a qualified doctor.
It was in fact Elma who had drugged Judy. She knew that the swelling of her throat and the peculiar smell of her breath were symptomatic of the drug in the tea.
“I have contacted the nearest hospital, but it will take at least half an hour for the ambulance to get here," Francis said in an alarming voice.
The studio was located far away in the suburb of the city. There was no way that the ambulance would arrive anytime soon.
Francis continued, "I didn't expect such an accident to happen. No one is to Leave these premises until further notice. If my speculation is correct, then I suspect that someone present here today drugged Judy.”
Francis took on a tough, stern stance. He was obviously not afraid of offending anyone. Elma was unsettled by this.
She felt a little awkward. After all, she was the guilty one, so she didn't want to be the first person to raise any objection.
After a bit of serious contemplation, Hanna said in a soft voice, "Judy just came in with food and drinks. Did she perhaps buy something unhygienic or past the sell by date that could have hurt her throat?"
In fact, street food and drinks were often unhygienic, but it was almost impossible to cause such a major problem.
After all, even street food vendors couldn't afford to ruin their own business by providing spoilt food.
It was obvious that besides the fried octopus and the bubble milk tea, Judy had also drunk the herbal tea from Rylee's tumbler. Therefore, Rylee was the number one suspect.
However, Hanna had just made an appointment with Rylee to sing together for Francis’ documentary. For the sake of their partnership, she didn't dare voice her suspicions about Rylee.
“I... there're just some herbs for soothing my throat. It's not at all harmful."
Rylee began to panic.
Before anyone could question her, she stammered and began to offer an explanation.
“Besides, I just... I had the same drink as Judy. If you don't believe me, I can drink the same tea again!"
As she spoke, she knelt down and picked up her tumbler.
There was still some tea left in it, and Rylee was about to drink it to prove her innocence. Elma was so excited to see this that she began to gloat inwardly.
Drink it now!
