Chapter: 1135
Elma almost shouted out aloud.

If Rylee drank it, her throat would be temporarily bruised.

By that time, Rylee would have to take the blame for Judy's mishap.

“Don't drink it!" Maria immediately grabbed the tumbler from Rylee's hand.

With tears in her eyes, Rylee cried out defensively, “It wasn't me... I didn't do it... Why didn't you let me prove my innocence?"

In the past few years, the entertainment industry had taken a severe measures to punish any artist accused of immoral behavior.

Anyone with a tarnished reputation would have to quit the industry once they were exposed.

When Rylee remembered the penalty for such transgressions, she cried even louder.

Maria replied, "I don't mind if you want to prove your innocence. But if someone had drugged your tea, you would not be able to prove anything even if you drink it now."

Rylee was stunned by her remark. She cried so hard that she couldn't think straight. She knew that Maria was correct in her assertion.

"Well... What should I do then to prove my innocence?"

“What else can you do? Right now the priority is to fix Judy's throat.

Please excuse me!”

Just then Sophia returned. She came in with a bottle of milk as she and Maria exchanged knowing looks.

“Judy, drink this milk," Sophie ordered as she handed the milk to Judy.

Everyone was bewildered. Judy was likely suffering from food poisoning. How would drinking milk help her? They all had the same question in mind.

Besides, the milk seemed to be a niche brand produced by a rural dairy farm in Sheffield. It was not a well-known brand outside of Sheffield.

“Perhaps... she'd better not eat anything. We should just wait for the ambulance," Francis suggested with some concern.

But Maria broke in and explained, "Milk has the power to detoxify our stomachs. If she drinks it now and induces vomiting, it can quickly remove the poison from her body."

Everyone looked at her in surprise, wondering how she had such accurate medical knowledge.

Maria added, “Besides, this brand of milk is more effective. It has a better detoxifying effect."

Elma snorted with coarse Laughter. "Milk is milk. What could possibly be so different about it? Besides, this brand is just a local dairy enterprise in Sheffield's countryside. Do you really believe that the milk produced by some unknown local farm is better than that of an international brand? What nonsense!" she quipped nastily.

Meanwhile, Judy drank up all the milk.

She licked her lips and said in a cheerful yet still hoarse voice, “It's delicious."
