Chapter: 1181
She noticed the change in Boden's countenance and quickly apologized with a smile before she said, “Don't worry, Vivian. I'll come up with something."

She spoke in a heavy tone that Vivian gasped and finally realized what she just did.

She peeked at Boden from the corner of her eyes and saw his closed up face.

Before Bill and Julie broke up, Patricia, Bill and Vivian were worried that the Smith family would stop supporting the Hughes Group once the couple separated.

But then, after thinking it through, Patricia realized that something else could stop the Smith family from taking away their funds.

Even after their divorce, Julie still recognized Vivian as her daughter.

As such, she wouldn't deliberately destroy Vivian's career.

Just as Patricia had predicted, Julie didn't tell the Smith family about the separation, nor did she ask the Smith family to stop supporting Vivian.

That was just how Julie was. Although she proved to be cold and aloof on the outside, deep down, she was just as warm and patient as every other woman out there.

Suddenly, Patricia laughed and clapped her hands. "Eureka! I know what we'll do,"

When everyone turned to Look at her anxiously, she explained, "We can issue a statement saying that you and Mia separately came up Female Military Counsellor and Song of Phoenix. We'll say the reason why some of the chapters are similar is because you both often discussed literature together. In that case, it would be a coincidence, and not plagiarism."

Vivian frowned. "But Maria won't agree to this. She already mentioned on her tweet that I was a plagiarist.”

Patricia smiled like it was a small problem and said, “We can fix that. We just have to join hands with her and say that her Twitter account was hacked and that post was put up by the hacker, not her.”

Vivian furrowed her eyebrows.

“But.. Aunt Patricia, would that really work?"

Vivian knew that it was impossible for Maria to agree to such a thing considering how she and her father treated her from the moment she joined the family.

Could Maria really agree to this?

No normal person would accept to do this, but Patricia seemed to have a backup plan in case she refused to cooperate.

She lowered her voice and explained, “We can reach out to Maria and negotiate with her. If she agrees to work with us and say that Song of Phoenix is a companion volume of Female Military Counsellor.."

Oh my God!

That was such a brilliant idea.

Vivian rubbed her hands together in excitement.

If it worked out like Patricia planned, then she would no longer be known as a plagiarist.

“You mean we bribe her?" Bill completed Patricia's sentence.
