Chapter: 1239
Since there were so many people in front of her, Isla stood at the back of the line to avoid any unnecessary trouble.
As Maria's servant, anything she did now would reflect or fall on Maria.
“Here you go, Mr. Shaun. Ten thousand dollars, half a set of Energy Practice Formula and three pieces of Purification Pills."
Shaun looked at the things in his hand, his face a picture of embarrassment .
Ten thousand dollars monthly was actually a Luxury to him considering the fact that he used to Live on a meager of two thousand dollars as a college student.
But he knew that the allowance and resources were given according to one's grade, and he was at merely the first grade. Of course, he was embarrassed.
Vivian was directly after him.
Shaun's face immediately spread into a smile as he saw her, but Vivian ignored him and walked past him as though he was invincible.
“Miss Vivian, you have one hundred thousand dollars, a complete set of Energy Practice Formula, a complete set of Refinement Records and thirty Purification Pills," Gonzales said.
“Thank you. Hand them over to my servant, please.”
Of course she wouldn't carry the things by herself.
Her servant took the materials and money, and then stood behind her like the perfect servant that he was.
ALL the other talents stared at Vivian with admiration and envy brimming in their eyes. Shaun most especially was in awe of her. He didn't care that she had ignored him. In fact, it seemed to make him determined to fawn over her even more.
"Come on, Dad. Let's go back to the Zenith Pavilion," Vivian deliberately said loudly enough to the hearing of everyone.
“Yeah, let's go."
Bill smirked and they left the West Yard proudly. The only reason they came down here was to show off anyway, and they had done just that. Isla patiently waited in line until it was finally her turn
“Hello, Mr. Gonzales. I'm here for Miss Maria's allowance and materials," she said in her small voice.
Mr. Gonzales looked up at her with a raised eyebrow. He was not a pleasing sight for the eyes with his moustache and thin body.
“Why are you here instead of her? Who does she think she is?" he asked rudely.
“Even Miss Vivian came down here herself to get her stuff. Has Miss Maria been given the impression that she’s special or what?" Those around that heard him chuckled in mockery.
They all knew that Maria was the lowest in her batch with a grade that had never been heard before.
Isla just Looked down at her feet without saying anything.
She was just a servant in the Jenkins family, and had no right to talk back to Mr. Gonzales whose position was much higher than hers.
So she let him go on with his taunts until he got fed up. He rolled his eyes and gave her the items.
