Chapter: 1238
“Living.”
Any other person wouldn't read much into Maria's words, but not Sophie. They seemed to understand each other in some way.
“Damn it!" Maria could see Sophie hit the table in her mind's eye. "Are they not treating you well over there? I mean, how can you be the one taking care of what you need to live your life there? Unbelievable! Okay then. I'll transfer you ten million right away. And make sure you reach out to me if it*s not enough." Sophie paused and sighed heavily before she typed again, "I won't take your pay from next month. Same thing with your manuscript and all other incomes. Use them as you see fit, and don't settle."
Maria was a little surprised. Sophie was always trying every trick in the book to take Maria's money.
Maria never complained though. Sophie always did know how to put the money to good use.
Despite the many projects she already had in mind, Sophie would rather Maria had enough money to take care of herself in the Jenkins residence.
“Thank you," Maria replied sincerely. Sophie had never given her such liberty on her money. As soon as they finished texting, Maria received the notification.
Sophie had transferred the ten million dollars.
She turned to Isla and said, “I'll just buy a few things online. Is there anything else that needs to be done?”
“ALL you have to do is rest now, Miss Maria. I will go to the West Yard and get your allowance and ancient martial resources for the month," Isla said respectfully.
ALL the ten people who were taken back into the Jenkins family had a right to these.
However, Maria who supposedly ranked lowest, would have the lowest share of allowance and resources.
The daily supplies of the Jenkins family were stored in the West Yard, and they were distributed by one of the butlers, as well as Doris’ husband, Gonzales.
“Alright then. Thank you." Maria smiled warmly at her.
“Go ahead."
By the time Isla got to the West Yard, the other clansmen were already standing and waiting for their own share.
Just like her, some servants came in place of their masters while some of the talents Like Vivian showed up personally, in the company of her father.
“Dad, Look at that tiny girl. She works for Maria," Vivian whispered to Bill, looking at Isla.
“Right. I remember her. She must have come to collect Maria's allowance and supplies too," Bill whispered back.
“There's no reason to be scared or be wary of Maria anymore. Here, she is nothing compared to us. Me, you and Patricia, are above many people here."
Now that Vivian was assigned to the Zenith Pavilion, she felt Like she was a real lady of noble birth.
Things only got better for Vivian as Doris assigned more servants for her.
Bill was satisfied with the treatment his daughter was getting since he benefitted from it too. He ordered one of Vivian's servants to pick up Patricia who had just flown to Broome.
Things had changed so drastically for them in such a short time. Not long ago in Sheffield, they were broke and now, they were treated Like royalty in Broome.
