Chapter: 1241
Maria picked up the Purification Pill and said, “Open your mouth.” Isla obeyed like she was used to and Maria threw the pill into her mouth.

"Ahem!"

Isla coughed, not very comfortable with the feel of it.

As the pill entered her system, it turned cool and went through her whole body.

“Miss Maria, you shouldn't have done that. You need it!" Isla exclaimed when she finally came out of her shocked state. "The pill was given by the clan and it helps cultivate your ancient martial skills which in turn determine your status in your clan."

"I know that Isla," Maria said dismissively and was about to continue when a man dressed in security uniform entered the Lemna Yard.

“I'm looking for Miss Maria." The man's tone sounded respectful, but the undertone was clearly not.

“That would be me. Can I help you?" Maria asked, ignoring the tone she detected in his voice.

“Many parcels just arrived the manor’s outer yard for you. Apparently, you bought them online? I needed to confirm that before letting them in. The couriers can't just come in and out of the estate as they like."

“I did buy things online. Let them in," Maria answered simply.

The man stood there with a frown on his face.

“Why did you buy two beds? What do you need them for?" the man asked, actually curious.

Added to the two beds, Maria also bought some furniture.

She got a dining table, bookshelf, wardrobe, nightstands and other furniture.

The Lemna Yard was so rundown that even the furniture in it was either falling off or just nonexistent. Isla didn't even have a place to sleep on.

“You can see how the condition of the Lemna Yard is. It is unhabitable. I had to get new things. But don't worry. I paid for those things myself," Maria answered him politely.

The man's mouth dropped open for a second. He hadn't met anyone Like Maria before. Was Maria richer than the other ordinary members?

The man squinted his eyes and said, “The issue is that you have bought too many things and the couriers are not allowed to enter. Can you move them yourself?"

She couldn't, and he knew that.

Maria tilted her head slightly and asked, "Can you help me out then? Maybe find some people and bring the things in. Of course, I'll pay for your work."

The mention of money changed everything for the security guard. With their status as security guards in the clan, they barely had a chance to earn money at the side.

"I have no problem working for you, Miss Maria. However, moving those things would usually cost huh..." The man trailed off deliberately and looked at Maria with meaning in his eyes.

A regular moving company would charge 8@@ dollars a day.

But moving Maria's stuff from the outer yard to the Lemna Yard wasn't much work.
