Maria understood his dilemma and said, “There's no problem. Take out your phone and show me the QR code."

Maria wasn't stupid. She knew why he didn't want any help with it.

“As Long as you move all my things here. I'll never mistreat those who help me."

The man flushed slightly in embarrassment.

“Thank you, Miss Maria. My name is Atticus Schmidt. Let me know if you need my help in the future," he said and offer Maria his number.

Maria smiled and equally gave him hers.

Atticus turned and went to work with a happy gait.

Once he was out of hearing shot, Isla said in a low voice, “Miss Maria, that was too much money. You shouldn't have given him that much."

"I know, Isla. And I did that for a reason." Maria smiled.

Seeing the confused Look on her servant's face, Maria explained to her She had been treated rather unfairly since she got to the clan, and if she let it continue, they would trample on her.

Maria wasn't scared of facing any troubles. However, she hated it.

It was much better to be popular, no matter the reason, than to be bullied and insulted by everyone.

So, she saw that being generous was one of the most efficient ways to make people like her and give her some peace.

At least through this way, she would belong and build a firm foothold in the Jenkins family.
