Chapter: 126
In her embarrassment, she immediately said, "I'll pay for it. How much is it

But Anthony gently shook his head and replied, “Never mind. You don't have to pay."

Maria pursed her lips and was dissatisfied. She didn't want to take advantage of anyone.

But before she could say a word to argue, Anthony explained, “Aren't we in an agreement? Think of me as your employer. This tonic tea is just a part of the benefits that you can have because of our collaboration. While you have to act as my finacee for a whole year, spending some money to ensure your good health is only reasonable. Don't you agree?”

Maria's slightly opened mouth soon shut closed. To her dismay, she couldn't find a way to refute what Anthony said.

Instead, she Looked at Jack and asked, “Is this tonic tea expensive?"

“Um... It's a little..."

Jack wanted to tell truth that it was very valuable, but he suddenly stopped talking when he noticed Anthony's warning glance.

ALL of a sudden, he corrected himself, "I mean... No! It's not that expensive!"

Maria breathed deeply. She could only nod, even though she didn't believe it.

At that moment, she thought of something and then tell herself that the Wilson family owed her that much, and she shouldn't feel guilty just spending some of their money.

Meanwhile, after Jay came out of the chief director's lounge, he remembered what Patricia told him before.

Get Maria fired?

Of course, he couldn't do that. However, his mood was still bad as he remembered the image of Anthony holding Maria's hand.

He was so annoyed that he kept on imagining Anthony feeding Maria the tonic tea after he left.

But while he was lost in his thoughts, something brought him back to his senses. He heard a familiar voice not too far from him.

“Don't worry, Mr. Jackson. The entire filming process is going well. Well, you have nothing to worry with Mia here! She is very capable! With her taking your position as the chief director, you can rest assured that everything is going to be perfect. In fact, even if you want to have a longer vacation, it's fine. We will be able to finish the whole shooting. Ha-ha!"

It turned out that the person talking on the phone in a quiet corner was none other than Lyndsey.

At the same time, Jay could clearly guess that the person on the other end of the line was Francis. Since he was still in the hospital, he might have been asking Lyndsey about the shootings progress.

Jay didn't mean to eavesdrop, but he overheard what Lyndsey said on the phone.
