A delicate woman rushed out of the kitchen and rested her palms on her knees, coughing out the smoke that she had inhaled.

“Mom, what's going on?" Maria rushed toward Julie and looked at her in concern. Was she trying to burn the Lemna Yard?

“Sweetheart, you're back! Just wait a second. The meal will be ready soon." Julie was stunned to see Maria at first, but she quickly reacted and spoke to Maria in a confident tone as if nothing had happened. She was not one to admit her failure easily.

“The meal will be ready soon? Are you kidding?"

Maria looked at the kitchen with a frown. What exactly was Julie trying to cook? The kitchen was filled with a cloud of smoke that obstructed her view of the stove. Was Julie preparing a barbecue?

Julie smiled awkwardly when she saw Maria's expression.

"Come on, I just wanted to make something for you to eat. Can't you be a little more appreciative?"

Groaning inwardly, Maria quickly said, "Oh, I appreciate it with all my heart. Don't get me wrong.”

While they were talking, two figures rushed out of the kitchen,

“Madam, you just wanted to fry some cabbage. Why did you pour a whole bucket of oil in the pan for that?" Grover's bald head was as black as a burnt egg.

Behind him, Isla's small face was also the same color, leaving only her eyes and teeth white. She blinked at Maria in fear.

Maria's jaw almost dropped in shock when she heard Grover's words.

“Mom, you poured a bucket of oil to fry some cabbage?"

Julie blushed but waved her hand as if it was no big deal.
