Chapter: 1489
Cara blushed with embarrassment as she listened to Clare's rant. She lowered her head in embarrassment and wished for the earth to swallow her up. But she saw nothing wrong with what she had done.

ALL of a sudden, another person applauded. And it was right next to

Cara.

Cara looked over in amazement and found it was the mysterious girl applauding.

"You! What the hell is wrong with you!"

Obviously, Clare hadn't expected that someone would dare to stand out and go against her in public when she chose to humiliate and bully a humble assistant. She wondered whether this girl knew she was the champion of the national competition regarding the Ancient Zither!

Clare seethed with anger and was about to scold the girl.

Yet, at this time, the troupe on the stage all stood up suddenly in unison and expressed their gratitude to the two audiences who had applauded with standard stage decorum.

A smile spread across Maria's face. She saw that every single member of the band stood up under Atwood's command.

She was satisfied with this man Jeremy had carefully picked up.

The level of effort that Jeremy had put in toward the preparation of the concert was outstanding. The conductor had done an excellent job, and the band was magnificent.

"This is just a rehearsal. Why should we applaud? Are you nuts?"

Clare asked hotly.

All of a sudden, she felt as if everyone in the room was against her.

Had they all gone mad?

Although Clare felt a tinge of regret for jumping the gun, she wasn't embarrassed in the slightest.

She pointed at Maria and asked, “Who the hell are you? I have never seen you before. Why are you even here? If you have nothing to do with the rehearsal, get out of here right now!"

Cara was frightened before Maria could say anything.

"Madam, you'd better leave now. Clare can be a bit short-tempered sometimes." Cara was the kind of person who didn't even know how to curse. It took her a moment to find the best way to describe Clare's personality.

Maria looked at Cara in surprise and murmured to herself, "What a pitiful creature."

Cara furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, wondering what Maria meant by that.

"Are you deaf? Get out of here right now!" Clare said again, raising her voice.

Since Maria wasn't wearing an ID card on her neck, Clare immediately assumed that Maria was an outsider who sneaked into the theater without permission.

This was the rehearsal site of the concert. Even the staff of the theater were forbidden to enter and exit freely during the rehearsal, in case it caused any disturbance to the band.
