Chapter: 1531
Maria stammered, “What? We haven't even..."
Her voice faded into uncertainty.
Anthony couldn't help but chuckle.
“Look, Judy's got crucial tasks now. Just let her stay at the Sky Group. Consider giving her a role, perhaps like the executive assistant," Maria suggested.
Anthony raised an eyebrow, momentarily confused.
“She's all the rage now. Why'd she hide in plain sight as my aide?"
Before Maria could reply, Judy interjected.
“I'm indifferent to the title I get. What matters is Maria's well-being. If anything goes south for her, Clark and Denis won't let me off easily."
Recognizing Judy's earnestness, Anthony gave a nod of agreement.
“We'lL get your onboarding sorted and your employee pass ready. There won't be much for you to do around here. You can fill your time as you wish," he assured.
Judy nodded appreciatively.
“I'd appreciate a top-notch computer.
I've got to run simulations using my math model to sift through data.
That way, we'll pinpoint the best treatment and meds for Maria."
A math model? Anthony knew it had medical applications.
Yet he couldn't help but wonder whether Maria's health was that dire.
And so much so that Judy would resort to such lengths for a solution?
While sunlight bathed the room, Anthony's spirits felt shadowed, clouded with concern.
“Anyone else in the picture regarding her therapy?" Anthony probed.
Judy didn't intend to hide anything from him.
She started enumerating everyone involved, while keeping count with her fingers.
"Well, Sophie and her team have been on daily rehab duties. The hibernation pod tech has seen some major advancements. On top of that, Maria's been putting her energy into ancient martial arts, and that's definitely aiding her recovery."
A pensive frown creased Anthony's forehead. If just the day-to-day healing was such a handful, he couldn't even fathom the intensity of the core treatment.
He had recently learned that Maria's narcolepsy wasn't just standalone. It was a side effect of her previous injury.
