Chapter: 1532
"Clark and Denis are prepping for the surgery. Maria's been in the loop about the operation's schematics for a couple of years now. I've been a tad late to the party and only caught up recently, so I'm relegated to a few minor tasks," she confessed and sighed.
Judy's face fell a little as she continued, "We've done countless runs with the math model, but a perfect solution eludes us. We're not moving forward with the operation until we're completely confident of its success."
"Understood," Anthony replied.
"We'll set up the advanced computer for you today. Also, I'll grant you top-tier access in the company, even to restricted portals like Heaven's. And, your workspace? Right next door to mine."
She nodded with a brisk smile.
“Sounds good. I'll be good with whatever you've Lined up for me."
Meanwhile, outside the looming Sky Group building, a flashy red sports car had come to a halt right at the main entrance. It was obstructing the way.
Barbara's had an odd feeling as she once again met Anthony.
She couldn't deny Anthony was more handsome and even-tempered than Octavian.
However, seeing Anthony in a wheelchair brought an unexpected laugh to her lips.
Even setting Octavian's noble lineage aside, just considering health,
Anthony clearly was at a disadvantage.
With this in her mind, her face couldn't help but reveal a hint of superiority.
Once, Barbara had fancied Anthony, dreaming of a future by his side.
But since Anthony had chosen Maria, he was no longer a potential partner, but an adversary.
The Jenkins and the Sky Group were bound by a business contract.
They were forced to work hand in hand.
But once the deal was done, the Jenkins family had every intention of cutting ties with Anthony and his company.
As for the sponsor, with Octavian, why would they need Anthony?
Barbara mused.
"Miss Herrera, is there something amiss with my appearance?"
Anthony's voice pierced through her thoughts, cool and detached.
Caught off guard, a pang of annoyance surged within Barbara.
Fine, Barbara admitted she was impressed by Anthony, even now. But she would never openly admit it.
