Chapter: 165
“Maria, why don't you come with me? We'll have a better time together," Jenny said hastily.

Suddenly, Darren's eyes lit up with gratitude.

“Well, I'LL think about it." Maria considered it for a while, and she was tempted.

The happiness on Darren's face was apparent.

“We've got some treats in store as a way of saying “thank you" to our loyal audience. This card will entitle you to a limited-edition gift at the venue where the show will take place. This is it."

Darren approached Jenny and presented her with a white card.

“Well, thank you very much... Master Darren.”

In a daze, Jenny accepted the card. It was just coincidental that her fingertips brushed over Darren's.

Jenny felt weak and numb Like she'd received an electric jolt, from the brief contact.

Her happiness had no bounds. He represented the ideal man for her. Jenny liked him a lot, even if he seemed to be Maria's flatterer.

Maria tossed the remaining VIP tickets into her bag and asked Darren, “You must be quite busy, right? You should probably get back to whatever you have to do now."

Following that statement, Maria grabbed her sleep mask and prepared to take a nap.

No words came out of Darren's or Jenny's mouths. They didn't see that coming.

It might sound like Maria didn't want to distract Darren from his work, when the truth was she just didn't want Darren to disturb her nap.

“Sure, Master Maria, I'll leave you in peace. I'll see you at the exhibition game day then."

Darren then exited.

To Jenny, he seemed like a poor Lad who had just been rejected by the girl he liked.

Jenny couldn't resist reaching over to grab Maria's shoulders and shaking her violently after he left.

“Ahhh! What is going on between you and Darren? Why are you being so harsh on him? Take a look at him. He's in such a pathetic state right now."

Maria was dozing off when Jenny woke her up.
