Chapter: 214
“I'm going back to my room." As if the conversation had nothing to do with her, Maria turned around and left expressionlessly.
“Look at her. The Jenkins family gave her everything she has, but she is not grateful at all. She's pulling a long face just because we didn't help her join the program. How ridiculous!" Patricia commented. It was clear that her aversion to Maria was no less than that of Vivian.
And as an elder, she criticized Maria without reservation.
Julie frowned at this. "I think we should be fair. Maybe that's how Maria is. She just doesn't like to talk much.”
Maria received quite a Long message after she got back to her room.
It read, "The training program to be held by the Sheffield Film and Television Association aims to improve the comprehensive quality and professional level of new generation of artists in our country. The training courses will focus on lines, acting, film and television literature, vocal music, physique, new Internet culture, and many more. Please be guided of the following time schedule. Venue: Hillside Spa Hotel."
Apparently, it was sent by Jeremy.
Maria browsed the message quickly and furrowed her brows. Then, she replied with a question mark.
What was that about? Why was Jeremy sending it to her?
Then, Jeremy answered, “Master Mia, do you want to go to this training program for some fun? Although it is being hosted by the Film and Television Association, I already have the quota. Besides, the hot spring there is really good."
“What about my work in the filming of Legend of Anne? Do I need to ask for a leave?" Maria asked.
"There's no need. The crew will need at least two weeks to finish editing the scenes you guys made. So, all the actors are having some days off. I'm sure you must be tired these days as well. The courses are very easy. I mainly want you to go there, enjoy the hot spring, and relax," Jeremy urged.
Obviously, Jeremy was a regular customer of the said hotel. Since he regarded Maria as the one of whom his livelihood depended, he always treated her with great consideration.
“Alright. I'll think about it. Let me get back to you in a while." In the end, Maria wanted to agree. Jeremy was going out of his way to pamper her, so there was no reason for her to refuse.
However, the training program would last for two weeks. It was a rather long time, so she thought that she should ask for Anthony's opinion first. If it would somehow affect his plans, then she would have to call Jeremy and refuse.
“There is this training program hosted by the Sheffield Film and Television Association, and it will last for two weeks. Is it going to be okay if I go? Will it somehow interfere with your plans?"
Maria sent the message to Anthony, attaching the schedule of the program for his reference.
“It's alright. You can go. Coincidentally, I am the owner of the hotel where the training is going to be held. Don't worry. I will inform them to provide you the best food and accommodation."
Maria was stunned at Anthony's quick and decisive reply.
It was too much of a coincidence. Of all the hotels, she would be going to the one owned by Anthony himself.
