Chapter: 316
The woman was none other than Jessica, who was Anthony's aunt. She was the one whom he trusted the most.
“What a coincidence! Are you two also here for a walk?" Jessica asked as she sat across from the two.
“Hello,” Maria politely greeted.
Anthony said nothing. He didn't think their meeting was a coincidence.
“My house is nearby, so I just come here for a walk whenever I have some free time to spare." Jessica smiled. "Maria, did you ask Anthony to take you here so you can relax?"
Maria nodded.
“That's good. It doesn't hurt to take a break once in a while, you know? It can help in curing your narcolepsy."
Maria thanked her before shifting her gaze to Anthony, who strangely didn't look as calm and collected as earlier.
“Do you mind if I take a smoke?" Jessica asked.
Without waiting for an answer, she began to fumble around inside her pocket.
Then, she took out a pack of cigarettes and reached out to take one before putting it in between her Lips.
However, it didn't take long for her to realize that she didn't bring a lighter with her.
“I know you don't have a lighter because you don't smoke," she said as she pointed at Anthony.
Anthony simply let out an awkward smile.
Jessica then turned to Jack and asked, “Do you have one?”
Jack gave her a blank look. "A lighter? Unfortunately, I don't." Jessica sighed and stood up before calling out to the “spies” who were stealing glances at them from time to time.
“Does anyone here have a lighter? I need one!"
Maria's eyes widened in surprise. What was going on here?
The “spies" were also quite confused.
Just then, the couple who were rowing on the Lake sped up. As soon as their boat reached the shore, a man ran up to them and hurriedly handed a lighter to Jessica.
