Chapter: 328
The cook was a thin old man, and his wife worked as the waitress, cashier and hostess, all at the same time.
The silver-haired old lady walked to their table with a pen and a notebook and a perfect smile on her face.
When she got to the table, she ignored the man and focused on the two ladies who she knew were going to order.
“What can I get you?"
“Four bowls of noodles with shrimp wontons, please. Thank you,”
Maria said, closed the menu and handed it to the old lady.
Anthony looked up abruptly in surprise while the old lady raised a curious eyebrow.
“Four bowls?”
She asked when Maria didn't say anything more. There were only three people. What was the extra bowl for?
“Four or five, Maria?"
Judy asked, confusing both Anthony and the old lady some more.
Maria rolled her eyes at Judy and said to the old lady, "Fine, five bowls!" Though confused, the woman nodded and went to get their meal. A short while after, five bowls of noodles were placed on the table. It was only then that Anthony understood what was going on.
One bowl was for him, the other was for Maria, and the rest were all for Judy.
No one could have believed it if they were told that Judy ate so much. She looked so much thinner than Maria.
Anthony himself was surprised. Before this, he would have never believed that Judy could eat three bowls of noodles alone.
By the time Judy finished the first bowl however, Anthony and Maria had not even gone halfway with theirs.
“Eat slowly, Judy. No one's going to snatch your food now," Maria said softly.
“Oh... Okay."
Judy blushed.
She picked up the second bowl and ate slower, albeit still faster than normal people.
