Chapter: 357
When Anthony walked towards the desk to put the food down, there was only the music player running on the screen.
Then, he glanced at Maria, who looked back at him innocently.
Of course, he knew that Maria was doing something else on the computer before he entered. But he wouldn't waste his time asking what it was about since Maria wouldn't tell.
“Now dig in."
Anthony sat beside her and didn't plan to Leave.
He always did this when bring Maria her meal. He would wait there until Maria finished eating. Then afterward, he would take the utensils and plates out.
Seeing the food prepared for her, Maria nodded and said in a low voice, “Thank you."
For today's lunch, there were meatballs and some salad. It seemed simple at first sight, but all of them tasted very delicious.
Upon taking a small bite of the meatball, Maria's eyes Lit up as if she suddenly had an idea that she could use with the novel she was working in right now. Hence, she wanted to use the computer at once.
She glanced at Anthony, hinting him to go out for a while as she needed to type on the Laptop.
Anthony understood what Maria was hinting, but he didn't move an inch.
“I have to work while eating. You go—" But before Maria could finish her sentence, she was quickly interrupted by Anthony, who waved his hand.
"No, Finish your lunch first, and then take a nap. After you have rested, you can continue working."
Anthony's tone was so firm that he didn't give Maria any chance to rebut.
Maria pouted, not trying to hide her disappointment.
The novel she was updating was called "Female Military Counsellor". It had been going on for a while, but it seemed that the new chapters were being delayed since she couldn't seem to find time for it.
Since Maria was a famous writer, the editor didn't dare to pressure her directly. However, the editor had dropped several hints to somehow express his frustration. "Mia, if you can't update every week, can you please at least update once a month? Of course, if that's okay. After all, the whole world is waiting to know what will happen next!"
Because of this, Maria was too embarrassed to delay it further.
Besides, she felt that she had been in a good condition recently, so she wanted to take advantage of it. In fact, she had written a few manuscript seriously and was ready to sort them out and send them to the editor all together.
“I'm not tired... And I have a lot of work to do," Maria whispered, protesting.
