Chapter: 362
She was one of the few senior leaders from the Novel Hub who had met the writer Mia, in other words, Maria, in person. And she was sure that Maria Lived alone. So what family was she talking about now?
Even if she had a family, it was funny that they would force her to sleep.
Seeing that it wasn't possible, a thought suddenly crossed Greta's mind. Her eyes went wide and she asked with a gasp, "Mia, you... Are you married?"
“Well, I'm not married, but I have a fiance now," Maria answered softly.
“Damn it!"
Greta closed her eyes and tried to calm down.
“What's wrong?" Maria was confused by Greta's reaction.
She had a fiance, and although it was temporary, Greta’s reaction was out of place.
So, why was she angry? Maria really couldn't understand.
“I just knew it!" Greta spat out angrily.
“It all makes sense now. Damn love! That's what taking up your time to write. Listen to me, Mia! Love is poison, and marriage is the tomb. Don't be deceived by men's sweet words. You have to jump out of the fire early before it consumes you!"
Novel Hub's chief editor Greta Willows was a 32-year-old woman. She had been divorced for three years already.
At 3 o'clock in the afternoon, Jessica arrived at Anthony's villa.
“She is asleep," said Anthony as he poured a mug of coffee for Jessica.
“What happened this time? Another relapse?" questioned Jessica, her forehead creased with a frown.
If Maria's narcolepsy was getting more serious, it was a sign she needed a more vigorous treatment.
However, Anthony shook his head and said, "This has nothing to do with relapses. She stayed up all night yesterday and hence I put her to bed now."
Bang! Jessica slammed the mug on the table with a thud. Her face turned red with fury.
“What do you mean by she stayed up all night? What reason was there behind it? Did the two of you spend the night together? I know that men are all animals who have weak self-control! They are all the same!“
“Aunt Jessica, wait a minute," he pleaded. Anthony looked at Jessica helplessly. Her imagination was running wild. She had jumped to a conclusion.
