Chapter: 373
Julie sighed with a defeatist attitude. She then thought of Maria, her other adopted daughter.

Maria had never asked for anything from the time she came to the Jenkins family.

Julie began to wonder about her. How was Maria doing in the Wilson family?

“Let me tell you another secret, Mom."

Hearing this gave Julie a headache.

There was another secret?

She had no interest in listening to Vivian's secret. It appeared that

Patricia was aware of all Vivian's secret while Julie herself was in the dark.

"The website on which I registered under the penname ‘Polly’, was established by Aunt Patricia, especially for me! Moreover, everything invested in creating the website has already been recovered by my book “Song of Phoenix’!

Julie had guessed right as it turned out.

“So, Patricia is being really nice to you," Julie murmured under her breath.

She set up a new company and a website just for Vivian?

Julie had nothing to say to this.

ALL of a sudden, however, heart-wrenching thoughts began to seep into her mind. How could Patricia be more devoted to her daughter than she was?

Evidently, Patricia was being extremely nice to Vivian.

"I need to head out today, Mom," Vivian said as she began to get ready. here are you going?" Julie asked casually.

“Novel Hub wants to connect with the whole industry to have a common platform to read novels. They are the largest novel website in the country. The traffic on the website that Aunt Patricia has set up is still not great as the website is quite small. I will attend Novel Hub's event today with her to see if I can secure a cooperation agreement with them. Having this agreement would mean more popularity for my book, under my current penname. In the future when ‘Song of Phoenix' is made into a movie, I will reveal my identity as the author. That should be fun!"

Imagining the appreciation she would receive from netizens for her “versatile talents" made Vivian really happy.

She noticed, however, that her mother didn't seem to share in her excitement.

This upset her and made her wonder what was wrong with her mother. Why was her mother reacting this way when she had good news?
