Chapter: 386
“What are you talking about, Vivian? Don't forget that Song of Phoenix is only-"
Before she could finish her words, Patricia held her tongue.
Even though she didn't finish, Vivian understood what she was trying to say. They both Looked at each other in silence.
“My apologies, ladies, and gentlemen. Our chief editor, Ms. Willows, is currently entertaining an important guest. The vice-chief editor will deliver the opening speech on behalf of her."
The guests whispered amongst themselves.
How important could this guest be? How could Greta leave hundreds of guests behind?
Most guests were senior executives, well-regarded investors, and famous stars. Who could be more important than everyone inside the room combined?
Vivian and Patricia were confused.
“What's going on? Who do you think the guest is? Is there a chance we know them?" Vivian's voice trembled excitedly.
She Looked at the stage in front of her with determined eyes. It was as if she could see the guest from the VIP Room.
Vivian could not be mistaken about who she was seeing.
The familiar figure appeared in the place she least expected.
Her eyes were wide open. Vivian shook her head repeatedly, still in disbelief.
Why was she here? What was Maria doing here?
At this time, Vivian saw Maria walk out of from the side of the huge LED wall alone. Then, she began to stroll at the venue, as if she was an idle tourist.
Vivian was furious. She felt like Maria was ascending to her level. The thought became unbearable for her.
She thought that Maria didn't deserve to come to such a grand event. This was not some place a country bumpkin could just freely go to.
Biting her lower lip, Vivian was so angry that her body began to tremble.
After a closer look, Vivian somehow found some comfort.
It seemed that Maria was really alone. Anthony wasn't with her.
