Chapter: 400
With his eyes narrowed, Boden walked into the storage room, passing by the brooms and mops. Finally, he reached for the small notebook on the table in the corner, which intrigued him so much.
Although it Looked old, it was still clean and well kept.
“This is..."
As soon as he opened the first page of the notebook, his gaze fell upon several lines of beautifully written words.
“It was the autumn of the year when the grades for the official recruitment examination were finally released. The first place goes to Merle Foster."
“When she came to the palace to see the emperor, Merle put on an elegant makeup. It was until then that people realized that she was a woman with an unparalleled beauty."
“The Emperor was a wise man who appreciated the real talent regardless of their gender and social status. He then allowed her to enter the imperial academy. In there, she was designated as an officer in the royal palace."
Boden was struck-dumb. No wonder it seemed so familiar. This was actually the first chapter of Mia's Latest novel... The Female Military
Counsellor!
"This notebook... Does it belong to Maria?" Boden asked curiously. Vivian looked at the said notebook and frowned.
Everything that belonged to her, even a piece of paper or a pen, was of very good quality.
But the notebook that Boden was holding up Looked Like the type that could be bought at a few cents in a roadside stationery shop. Of course it belonged to Maria! Who else would own a cheap thing such in this house?
"Must be," Julie answered after Looking at the notebook too. When Maria used to live here, even the maid didn't bother to enter her room.
Julie answered because she had once seen this notebook in Maria's room, but she didn't think of opening it at that time.
It seemed that Maria had forgotten about this when she moved out. Finding it rather interesting, Boden turned a few more pages and noticed that it was filled with extracts of Mia's Female Military Counsellor.
Her handwriting was elegant and pleasant to read. "I have to ask; is she practicing her handwriting by extracting the novel Female Military Counsellor? Or... Is she actually the mysterious writer, Mia?"
If Vivian was actually the mysterious writer Polly, then it was very possible for Maria to be the famous Mia.
Actually, Boden was not really a fan of novels. He might have heard of Mia, but the possibility that it was actually Maria didn't come as a surprise to him.
“No way!" Vivian said in shock. If Maria was indeed Mia, that would mean she Maria was worth more than her and had accomplished more. In fact, if it was the case, then her writing Song of Phoenix under the pen-name Polly would be laughable, ridiculous even.
Vivian shook her head vigorously as she thought of this. Even if the probability was 1/1000, she would never accept it.
