Chapter: 421
“Maria, my disciple."
That was all the introduction that was needed. There was no need for her background or her resume.
Being Vincent's disciple was the most valuable thing to those in that world. It meant they could all trust her.
When the jade carving masters heard this, they were all shocked. It was at that time that Vincent brought everyone's attention to Anthony.
“And this is my disciple's fiance. He's a Wilson."
Geez!
What the hell? What sort of introduction was that?
Although Anthony was no Longer the heir of the Wilson family, he was still a big shot and could easily have a say in any industry he took interest in.
How could he be introduced so casually? What was the meaning of a simple "He's a Wilson"?
Darian somehow felt pity for Anthony and the Wilson family as all of these thoughts ran through his mind.
Darian's jaw bones clenched and unclenched as he tried to contain he himself. If he could, he would have shouted to everyone's hearing, "I know Anthony Wilson!"
But instead, he seemed to be frozen, and to have lost his tongue.
He didn't understand why Anthony looked so calm, as though the casual introduction didn't bother him in the least.
Darian was even more surprised when the young man said, "Nice to meet you all. I am Maria's fiance. My name is Anthony Wilson, but you can just call me Anthony.”
After this, Darian simply couldn't hold his tongue anymore.
He wanted to say, "Mr. Wilson, I would never dare to call you Like that!"
But once again, his words got stuck in his throat. He felt Like if he did speak out, it would show that he was uncultured and had never been at such an important occasion. He couldn't risk that, so he kept quiet.
Still not at peace, he spared a glance at his old friends from the corner of his eyes and realized with joy that they had the same reactions as him. At least now, he wouldn't feel humiliated alone.
“Old man, I haven't accepted to be your disciple yet," Maria said nonchalantly with a careless shrug.
Just as soon, Vincent's face fell.
