Chapter: 422
“Anthony, Darian, in fact all of you, have you ever seen someone bully @ poor old man Like this?"

Vincent complained to the group in hopes of getting their support.

Looking even sadder than he already was, Vincent added pitifully to Maria, "I don't have a child or any relative to look after me, and I haven't found an agreeable disciple in so many years. Now that I already have one foot in the grave, I want a disciple. Why are you always rejecting me so openly and harshly?"

Darian shook his head at the scene he was watching and preferred to keep his thoughts to himself. Vincent didn't have a child? Well whose fault was it? No one stopped him from getting married when he was young!

When the Geoffrey family emigrated abroad, he was the only one who stayed back, and now he claimed not to have any relatives around?

Darian didn't even want to get started with the story about Vincent's disciples. So many people in the jade carving field wanted to be his disciples. They were literally uncountable.

But of course, he paid them no mind.

Now he wanted to claim that he had no one that satisfied him. Although Darian had all these thoughts in mind, he was still sort of surprised by Maria's actions.

How could she refuse to be the disciple of the great Master Geoffrey? And to top it, it seemed like she had rejected him more than once? If it hadn't been for the magnificent mauve jadeite he just saw, he would have taught this rude girl a lesson for his friend.

“Maria..." Like a poor, lost child, Vincent murmured and tugged at the end of Maria's shirt.

Maria rolled her eyes and finally said, “Fine, Master."

At the art exhibition hall in Jadforest Garden, the entire place was lined up with sophisticated jade carvings.

Each of the eye-catching display had the exclusive trademark of Vincent, which was the initial letter of his surname engraved in a special font.

“Dad! How much do you think these artworks are worth?" Vivian was so amazed that she couldn't help exclaiming.

However, Bill tried to play it cool. He smiled and said, "My daughter, these are real works of art. Their value cannot be measured by mere money!"

Of course, he only said that to look dignified. But even he was also wondering about the same thing.

Real works of art? He didn't care about that.

What was the use of it if he couldn't get money out of it? These pieces of art would only be useful for him if he could sell them for profit.

Bill, Patricia, and Vivian were all dressed in Luxury clothes, shining like celebrities as they walked on the red carpet.

However, all the guests who were in Jadforest Garden for Vincent's birthday banquet were also Like them. In fact, many of these people had far more powerful backgrounds, which Bill couldn't even begin to imagine.
